The inauguration of Raffles Boston occurred on September 15, 2023, marking the commencement of its operations and welcoming visitors. The property signifies the inaugural instance of a mixed-use development in North America for the brand that has been in existence for 136 years, signifying a new chapter for this renowned collection. Located in the bustling Back Bay neighborhood, Raffles Boston provides a serene and tranquil environment for anyone seeking respite in an urban setting. With a total of 147 luxurious guestrooms and an array of unique communal areas, this establishment offers a diverse range of spaces for guests, residents, and locals to explore and enjoy.

Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles & Orient Express, expressed his satisfaction in expanding the renowned Raffles brand into the Americas through the establishment of Raffles Boston. Acar also conveyed gratitude towards the ownership teams from Cain International, Noannet Group, and Saunders Hotel Group for their confidence in and dedication to the Raffles brand. Raffles facilities serve as conduits for successive cohorts of global travelers to embark on journeys to various destinations, facilitated by an unparalleled standard of hospitality and cordial assistance. Boston is widely recognized as a significant and refined center of culture in the United States. It is considered an ideal city to serve as the venue for the Raffles experience for an extended period of time.

Upon arrival at Raffles Boston, visitors are greeted by an ascent to the 17th floor of the hotel. Here, they are welcomed by a three-story Sky Lobby, featuring a prominent Grand Stair that gracefully winds its way around the atrium. This architectural element is emblematic of the renowned Raffles brand. In addition to serving as a check-in area for hotel guests, this expansive facility serves as a hub for social interaction and provides four unique dining and beverage establishments. The dining options available at the establishment encompass Amar by Chef George Mendes, a renowned restaurant that offers contemporary Portuguese cuisine infused with elements inspired by Boston’s maritime heritage. Additionally, patrons can enjoy the Long Bar & Terrace, a lounge designed by Paolo Ferrari, which combines expertly crafted cocktails with panoramic vistas of the South End. Lastly, there is a Speakeasy that provides a selection of meticulously concocted cocktails and appetizers. Located on the 17th floor, the Raffles Writer’s Lounge is a renowned establishment within the flagship Raffles Singapore and various other Raffles hotels worldwide. This exclusive room has gained prominence due to its association with distinguished writers and poets who have frequented it throughout the years.

Located on the fourth level, visitors will discover a haven consisting of a sophisticated gymnasium, a 20-meter indoor pool offering panoramic views of the city, and the esteemed Guerlain Spa at Raffles Boston. The spa offers a range of treatments in collaboration with the esteemed Parisian beauty and health brand.

The establishment of Raffles Boston will enhance the city’s global standing as a premier international hub. Located in close proximity to The University Club and the Back Bay railway station in Boston, Raffles Boston is situated within a single block of notable landmarks like as Copley Square, Trinity Church, and the esteemed luxury retail destination, Copley Place. The design of the property, which draws inspiration from local sources, improves the inviting and sophisticated atmosphere of the Back Bay area. At the same time, it provides visitors with a peaceful and serene urban retreat. The building’s exterior architecture was designed by The Architectural Team (TAT) Inc. The hotel rooms and several hotel amenity spaces were fashioned by the award-winning hospitality design firm Stonehill Taylor. The Fitness Center and Spa, as well as the Raffles’ Residences, which can be purchased, were designed by the acclaimed Rockwell Group. Raffles Boston is led by a team mostly composed of individuals with a strong affinity for the city of Boston. The development team consists of Jordan Warshaw from The Noannet Group, Gary Saunders from Saunders Hotel Group, and their worldwide development and equity partner, Cain International. Construction funding was provided by Madison Realty Capital.
