The first five-star hotel in the area, Peppers Gladstone, is now under development, according to Accor, the leading hotel operator in Australia and New Zealand and Yaralla Sports Club. The Peppers Gladstone is scheduled to welcome visitors in the middle of 2024 and offers an unmatched standard of elegance and comfort that will transform the hotel industry in Central Queensland.
By combining the elegant 60-room Mantra Gladstone and the illustrious 32-room Peppers Gladstone under one roof, the hotel represents a key turning point for Accor. Additionally, Peppers Gladstone is the first brand-new hotel to be built in the area in more than ten years.
“We are thrilled to announce a Peppers hotel at one of Queensland’s most alluring central coast towns,” said Sarah Derry, CEO of Accor Pacific. In Queensland, Peppers Gladstone will provide a distinctive and important addition to our premium brand portfolio. For individuals who need more room and comfort for an extended stay, its guestrooms, apartments, and amenities will offer an improved guest experience.
Will Schroeder, CEO of Yaralla Sports Club, stated: “Our team is pleased to be working closely with Accor to bring our five star dream for Central Queensland to life. There will be two excellent options for guests to enjoy our lovely city since Peppers Gladstone and Mantra Gladstone will provide two levels of lodging under one roof.
The Peppers Gladstone, designed by BSPN Architects and built by Mettle Projects, will serve a variety of travelers, including business customers looking for upscale comfort and vacationers needing a break. The hotel’s guestrooms will be thoughtfully designed to embody the essence of the surrounding environments, including the tranquil wilderness, dynamic city, lush rainforests, and stunning coastline.
All accommodations, which range from King Studio Rooms to Superior Two Bedroom Apartments, will include king-sized mattresses, huge televisions with Chromecast capabilities, a complementary non-alcoholic mini-bar, and fully functional kitchens.
Additionally, guests can benefit from the hotel’s heated outdoor pool, free drinks at the pool deck bar (during specific hours), exclusive access to Peppers’ eight-seater movie theater, a well-equipped gym, secure covered parking, Wi-Fi, two on-site restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a member’s lounge with a cozy setting for a hot or cold beverage.
In its numerous conference areas, the hotel, which is a merger of Peppers Gladstone and Mantra Gladstone, can comfortably hold over 150 guests, making it a great location for small to large-scale meetings, expos, and weddings. Peppers Gladstone is conveniently located minutes from the CBD and benefits from being next to the Yaralla Sports Club, which increases its appeal and convenience for visitors.
Gladstone is located on the Capricorn Coast of Queensland, which is a section of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. When it opens, Peppers Gladstone will give tourists looking to unwind a modern location to stay before or after tours and excursions to the reef. More than 20 Peppers retreats, resorts, and CBD hotels already exist in Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. Peppers Gladstone will join that network. Four more Peppers hotels, including the Peppers Manly Beach, Peppers Marysville, Peppers The Hills Lodge, and Shadow Play Melbourne by Peppers, have opened around Australia in the past five years since Accor acquired Peppers in 2018.
Sofitel, MGallery, Art Series, Pullman, Swissôtel, Mövenpick, Grand Mercure, Peppers, The Sebel, Mantra, Handwritten Collection, Novotel, Mercure, BreakFree, ibis, ibis Styles, and ibis budget, as well as Ennismore’s SO/ and TRIBE, are just a few of the Accor brands found throughout the Pacific region.
