SACEOS elects 44th Executive Committeeto lead MICE industry in new chapter of growth

Richard Ireland, President of SACEOS, will preside over the 44th Executive Committee, assisted by an outstanding group of Executive Committee members with a variety of MICE industry expertise.

At its annual general meeting on May 18, 2023, the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS) elected its 44th Executive Committee to promote the expansion of the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) sector in Singapore and to lead advocacy efforts.

The MICE business is still recovering strongly, and the return of international MICE events and tourists to Singapore makes the election of the new SACEOS Executive Committee critical. The Association is determined to building on the outstanding work it has done to help the industry’s recovery over the previous three years with the mandate that has been given to the new leadership.

SACEOS is dedicated to its objective of working with its members, industry participants, and the government to address issues in areas like personnel and talent, as well as to lead the sector’s efforts towards a more sustainable future. Despite the positive prognosis for the industry as a whole. SACEOS will host the Singapore MICE Forum (SMF) from July 26–28, 2023, a flagship event that will draw influential policymakers, stakeholders, and MICE practitioners from all over the world, in an effort to make this vision a reality.

Richard Ireland, President of SACEOS, will preside over the 44th Executive Committee, which is made up of outstanding individuals with a variety of MICE sector credentials.

SACEOS President Richard Ireland stated: “We are honoured and privileged to be guiding the Association and MICE sector into an exciting new chapter of growth, together with the SACEOS 44th Executive Committee. Since its reopening, the MICE sector has had a significant rebound and is expected to reach pre-pandemic levels in the coming years. As a result, SACEOS’s position as the industry’s advocate and voice has never been more crucial during this crucial stage of development.

“Although the industry’s prognosis is quite promising, there are still difficulties it must overcome, including a lack of talent, workforce, and sustainability. In order to further the sector’s growth and solidify Singapore’s position as a premier international MICE destination, SACEOS is dedicated to working in partnership with our members, industry players, and the government to solve the issues.
