Air New Zealand is a partner in the reward programme.

SG – Singapore Tourism New Zealand recently completed its first international trade incentive campaign, which followed the global launch of their most recent 100% Pure New Zealand global campaign, IF YOU SEEK.

The association has actively increased its trade operations across markets as part of a coordinated effort to promote New Zealand’s tourist resurgence. The first-of-its-kind incentive programme was started to entice business partners to learn more and deepen their understanding of New Zealand as a travel destination. For a chance to go on a trade familiarisation trip to New Zealand, participating travel agents had to take part in events and use the marketing tools available in-market.

On the recently concluded IF YOU SEEK trade familiarisation tour, travel agents from Australia, Germany, Japan, North America, Singapore, South Korea, India, and the UK participated. They took part in one-of-a-kind experiences during sensory, seeker-themed activities chosen in partnership with the campaign between April 17 and April 22, 2023.

“When it comes to promoting in-market presence and preference for New Zealand, our trading partners are some of our most valued champions. Because destination knowledge is so important to what they do, we hope that their time in New Zealand has given them a greater respect and understanding of the country, which will transfer into how they present it to their target market. Gregg Wafelbakker, General Manager, Tourism New Zealand, Asia, shared.

In agreement with the thoughts expressed, Air New Zealand’s Head of Sales for South and South East Asia, the UK, and Europe, Aaron Gilden, said, “We believe the experience will assist our trade partners create more fruitful dialogues and enthusiasm about New Zealand.
